When you look under the hood of the 2020 Honda Ridgeline, you will see that its V6 engine is linked to a nine-speed auto transmission to produce 280 horsepower. This same pairing is also included in the upper three trim levels.
Additional mechanical equipment in the Ridgeline Sport includes paddle shifters, shift-by-wire, a tubular rear stabilizer bar, a solid front stabilizer bar, a MacPherson strut, powered rack-and-pinion steering, a rear multi-link suspension, power-assisted disc brakes, variable cylinder management, eco assist, direct fuel injection, engine immobilization, active noise cancellation and a few additional mechanical features.
The Ridgeline Sport’s exterior design balances its modern edge with sporty, power-minded styling. On the exterior, you will find 18-inch alloy wheels with gray paint, body-colored door handles, smart entry, powered side mirrors, remote entry, bed lights, a security system, foglamps, LED rear lights, a Class III trailer hitch, rear privacy glass, tie-down cleats, an in-bed trunk, a dual-action tailgate and halogen headlights with automatic on-off. The interior of the Honda Ridgeline Sport is well-equipped with a lift-up rear seat, two 12-volt power outlets, air filtration for the tri-zone auto climate control system, a HomeLink remote system, cruise control, power door locks, a power tailgate, illuminated controls mounted on the steering wheel, a push-button starter, a USB port, HondaLink remote access, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a customizable 8-inch touch display screen, speed-sensitive volume control and Bluetooth technologies.

The RTL’s mechanical features and powertrain equipment are identical to those that are in the Sport trim level. The exterior of the Ridgeline RTL adds features like exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels with a machined finish, a powered sliding rear window, a powered and tilting moonroof, heated and powered side mirrors and a few additional outer features. Inside the Ridgeline RTL, you will find enhanced features like leather material with heated seats, powered seat adjustments and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
RTL-E Trim – Honda Ridgeline
The 2020 Ridgeline RTL-E is outfitted with the same features as you can find under the hood in the Sport and RTL trims, and it adds all-wheel drive with an intelligent variable torque management system and a heavy-duty transmission cooler. The exterior introduces exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels with gray paint, a power outlet in the truck bed, rear and front parking sensors, chrome door handles, memory functionality for the heated and powered side mirrors, smart entry with Walk-Away Auto Lock, programmable remote entry and LED bed lights. The RTL-E adds interior features like memory functions for the driver’s seat, blue ambient LED lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, an in-bed audio system, a subwoofer and eight speakers with a premium sound system, voice recognition for the navigation system, HD Radio, SiriusXM radio and two USB ports. Safety features introduced in the RTL-E are automatic high beams, a blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic recognition and LED daytime running lights.
Black Edition – Honda Ridgeline
The RTL-E’s engine and mechanical features carry up to the Black Edition unchanged. If you drive the Black Edition, your Ridgeline will include high-end extras like 18-inch alloy wheels with a black finish, a blacked-out appearance with dark door handles, red ambient LED lighting and a few other items.
