If you want to drive with complete peace of mind on the roads of Denver and Aurora, you need to be sure that your tires are in good condition. Honda tire maintenance is an absolute must, and our team would be more than happy to show you how to properly care for your tires. Learn how to check Honda tire tread and more in this guide to Honda tire maintenance.

Perform a Monthly Tire Inspection

How can you catch small issues with your tires before they turn into costly repairs? Perform a monthly tire inspection. All it takes is just ten minutes of your time.

Checking your tire pressure manually is still recommended even if your vehicle has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Before you check the pressure, make sure that your tires are “cold.” We recommend waiting a few hours after your last drive for a more accurate reading. If you notice that the air in your tires is a little low, gradually add air until they are properly inflated.

It is also a good idea to inspect your tires for damage. Do you notice any gashes, cracks, or embedded objects? What about uneven wear patterns? This could indicate issues such as overinflated tires, misaligned wheels, or suspension problems.

How to Check Honda Tire Tread

With just a penny, you can see if your tires have enough tread for safe driving in Parker. Here’s how to check Honda tire tread:

  • Place your penny into a tread groove upside down.
  • Can you see the top of Lincoln’s head? If you are able to do so, it’s an indication that your tires are due for replacement.
  • Repeat the penny test on all tires. Don’t forget to check multiple locations on each tire.

Additional Tire Services

Don’t forget to bring your vehicle in for these tire services as well:

  • Rotate and Balance Tires – Every 5,000 to 7,000 miles
  • Wheel Alignment – Every 7,000 miles

Honda Tire PSI Guide

The recommended Honda tire pressure is usually between 32-36 PSI. However, the Honda brand produces a diverse array of vehicles, and the model and type of tires you have will determine the correct PSI. Consult your owner’s manual for exact figures. Recommended tire pressure may also be listed on the sticker located on the inside edge of your driver’s door.
